It might be the middle of summer, but if finances are already tight for you this year, it’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas.  Summer is the best time to find toy deals, bath and body sets for Grandma, etc…  I like to keep a running gift box with things I pick up on those “can’t pass it up” deals, so that I am ready for birthday parties, baby showers, and other gift-giving occasions.

For things which I won’t find on clearance deals, I like to save my rewards points from various programs such as Swagbucks or Mypoints (drop us an email for a referral).  Swagbucks is a search to earn site, and MyPoints allows you to earn by searching and by clicking on ads in emails.  By starting early this year, you can easily save up some extra cash for those day after Thanksgiving sales to finish up your Christmas shopping early this year!
